Restore Previous Versions - Network Drives

Overview

Restore deleted files and folders or restore a file or folder to a previous state. This applies to folders and files stored on network drives, such as the V drive.

Issue

To restore a deleted file or folder, follow the steps below.

Steps

  1. Open Windows explorer and navigate to the folder that used to contain the file or folder you would like to restore.
  2. Right-click on the file or folder you would like to restore, select Show More Options at the bottom of the menu, and choose Restore previous versions.
  3. Select the version of the file you would like to restore. Use Open to view the version of the folder/file at that point in time or use Restore to restore the version of the folder/file at that point in time. Choosing restore will overwrite the current version of the file.
