How to Subscribe 

 

  1. Click this UHV Listserv Archives link to go to the home page.   
  2. Click on “Log In” in the upper right corner.

Enter your UHV username@uhv.edu and password and click “Log In”.

  1. Click on the Listserv you want to join in the “List Name” column. 
  2. The Archives page of the Listserv you selected will display.  Select the menu button in upper right corner.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    1. Note: IF you get an error message that says you are not authorized to browse the archive, click on the Menu button in the top right hand corner.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  1. Select “Subscribe or Unsubscribe” in the pop-up window.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  2. The “Subscription Management” page will display for the chosen Listserv list.  Enter your name in the “Name” field if it is not already displayed.  Click “Show Advanced” at the bottom of the screen.

  3. In the “Acknowledgements” section, click the button next to “Receive Copy of Own Postings” so that when you post a message to the list, you will receive a copy along with everyone else on the list.  Click the “Subscribe” button to send your subscription request. 
  4. You will receive a message that a confirmation request has been sent to your email.

  1. Check your email for the confirmation request. Reply to the email with ‘Ok.’Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  2. Afterwards, you will receive a message saying that your request has been forwarded to the owner for approval.  You will need to wait for a list owner/moderator’s response before you can proceed any further.  This may take a while depending on the list owners/moderators’ availability. If you sent your subscription request after hours, be prepared to wait until the next workday before your subscription is approved. 
  3. After a list owner/moderator approves your subscription, you will receive a notification that you have been added to the list and receive a “Welcome” message. 

  At this point, you will begin receiving any new messages posted to the list in your UHV email.  You can also view previous posts online in the UHV Listserv Archives, as well as post messages to the list.  You may unsubscribe from the list at any time. 

To post a message via email 

  • Send the email message to BULLETINBOARD@LISTS.UHV.EDU
  • You will be sent an email message stating that your message has been submitted to the list owners/moderators.
  • Once approved, your message will be posted to the list.  Again, this may take a while depending on the list owners/moderators’ availability.
